Various themed group rides will be led by the San Diego County Bike Coalition that ride through different routes on the hour of every hour of the event. More details and a sign-up form coming soon!

In partnership with the San Diego County Bike Coalition (SDCBC), we have set up a multi-tiered open to all ages bike rodeo! Improve your bike safety riding skills, bike through an obstacle course, and learn how to better control your bike while riding.

Led by certified instructors from the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, feel confident in learning how to bike on the roads and safely navigate as a cycler.

Explore the many vendors that will be sharing information on bike safety, local bike/cycling clubs, public health, and sustainability! If you’re a student at a Vista Unified School District school, learn about how to obtain your bike permit to ride to school. More information to come!

Inland Rail Trail (approx. 2 miles | biking: 10 min | walking: 40 min)

The Inland Rail Trail is a 21-mile trail that spans across Oceanside, Vista, Escondido, and San Marcos. To get to Cyclovia, hop off the Inland Rail Trail at Phillips St and Mar Vista Dr. Take a right onto Mar Vista Dr and cross the train tracks. Proceed straight and then make a left onto S Santa Fe Ave and continue straight. Ride through the roundabouts and make a right on E Broadway to arrive at Cyclovia at the end of the street!

Vista Transit Station (0.3 miles | biking: 3 min | walking: 8 min)

Take the Sprinter from close by cities or regions to the Vista Transit Center. From there walk, bike, scooter across Vista Village Dr. and turn left towards N. Santa Fe Ave. Use the bike lanes on N. Santa Fe Ave. and turn right on S. Citrus Ave. If you would rather ride through Vista Village, turn right on N. Santa Fe Ave. and make a left on E. Broadway.

Civic Center Transit Station (1.4 miles | biking: 8 min | walking: 24 min)

You can also make a stop at the Civic Center–Vista Sprinter station. From that station, make a right on Civic Center Dr. towards Natal Way. Continue on Civic Center Dr. and take a left on Eucalyptus Ave. behind Vista Magnet Middle School. Then take a right turn onto N. Citrus Ave. For an alternative route continue on Civic Center Dr. and take a left on S. Santa Fe Ave. From there continue straight past the round abouts then take a right on E. Broadway.

All parking lots are available for use except the larger parking lot adjacent to the Yellow Deli on E. Broadway and S. Citrus Ave. Please note that the Belching Beaver and McCarthy parking lots will be open with limited entry and exit driveways. See the Event Map for all available parking lots.

Interested in learning more about e-bikes and cycling safety? The City of Vista hosts an E-Bike Safety Training and Rebate Program. Through this program, individuals can sign up to participate in an e-bike city cycling safety course including a hands-on safety course and community ride. City of Vista residents who take the training course is eligible to apply for a rebate up to $450 on an e-bike purchase. • SANDAG Inland Rail Trail: This 21-mile Class I trail connects the cities of Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, and parts of the unincorporated County of San Diego.
• Google and Apple Maps: Choose the “bike” option in Google and Apple maps when routing to view more bike-friendly routes to your destination.

Having a proper fitting helmet is key to riding safely. Not only are they required by law for those under 18 and for people of any age riding Class III e-bikes, but they act as an added safety layer while riding. Wearing a helmet while riding can decrease the severity of a brain injury and even save your life. As part of the City’s E-bike Safety Training program, we offer FREE helmets to participants who attend training sessions to ensure they have the necessary protection while riding.
