EDCO Delinquent Trash Bills
Section 13.16 of the Vista Municipal Code provides that the collection of refuse trash is mandatory for all residential, commercial and industrial properties. Property owners are liable for the payment of trash collection fees.
The City has formally notified property owners of outstanding payments, attaching a ten percent collection fee to delinquent charges. Those with delinquent accounts have been informed of the public hearing. The City Council will conduct a public hearing on June 14, 2026 at the City Council Chambers, 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, California to consider the imposition of a special assessment on the property owners for delinquent refuse and solid waste collection fees and to place such special assessments on the 2025/26 property tax roll. Additionally, a $25 lien fee per parcel will be applied, as per Section 13.16 of the Vista Municipal Code.
Any account paid in full ON or BEFORE June 14, 2026 will not be levied on the property tax roll and will avoid the $25 lien fee.
