The City of Vista's Recreation & Community Services Department offers programs that build community, promote healthy lifestyles, and provide entertainment for a variety of audiences. The department operates many of Vista's recreation, aquatic, and cultural arts venues, and hosts activities for all ages including preschoolers, youth, adults, and seniors. Brengle Terrace Park will be closed on Saturday, December 20, from 5 am until approximately 8:30 am so that the City's contractor can refresh parking and roadway striping throughout the park.

City parks are open year-round, including holidays, from 7 AM until dusk, except for sports leagues, programs, events, and classes scheduled beyond dusk. Sports leagues and recreation classes are not offered on holidays. Sports leagues and recreation classes are not available on holidays.
