Weed & Vegetation Program
Each year, in preparation for the “Fire Season,” and prior to Vista Fire Department’s visual property inspections that begin on June 1, the Vista Fire Department sends out “Notice to Clean Premises” letters to certain property owners. The notice is a reminder to maintain fire-safe properties. The program is very successful in keeping the community safe from vegetation fires.
Please note: The “Notice to Clean Premises” letters are sent prior to inspections of properties by the Vista Fire Department. If a property meets the requirements listed in the weed abatement policy by June 1, no further notification or action is required.
The Vista Fire Prevention Bureau would like to thank property owners in advance, and we appreciate the high level of compliance by property owners and their assistance in keeping the Vista community fire-safe.
