Sales Tax Oversight Committee
The purpose of the Sales Tax Oversight Committee is to receive and review the independent financial audit of the City and other City financial reports necessary to advise the City Council of its findings and make recommendations for the 30-year timeframe of the sales tax. The powers and duties are set forth in
City Council Resolution No. 2006-202.
There are seven members on the Commission who serve four-year terms. One member is recommended for appointment by the Vista Chamber of Commerce.
Qualifications for membership:
- Resident of the City of Vista
- 18 years of age

Meetings
Meetings are held yearly in the Vista Room located on the second floor of the Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, CA 92084.
Agendas are posted 72 hours in advance of the Sales Tax Oversight Committee meeting. Minutes are presented to the Committee for approval at the next regular meeting, and are posted after they are approved.
