Extreme Heat Warning: 10 a.m. Friday, 7/31 to 8 p.m. Sunday, 8/2⁠

The National Weather Service is warning the public of dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures and advises taking preventative measures to stay safe from heat-related illnesses. ⁠

Escaping the heat doesn't have to be a hassle!⁠

  • Stop by a Cool Zone
  • Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water⁠
  • Keep pets and kids safe: Never leave them unattended in a vehicle⁠
  • Dress smart: Opt for loose-fitting, lighter-colored clothes

People in San Diego County unable to get to a Cool Zone location without transportation assistance, such as older adults, people with disabilities, or people who are homebound, can call 2-1-1 to be connected to a transportation or rideshare service.
